The fold
A small moment of magic
As the lid comes down, your screen stops being a flat picture. It folds back like a pane of frosted glass: it drops, leans away and blurs, and it follows the hinge degree by degree. Open the lid again and everything slides back into place.
Follows the hinge
Tracks the real angle of the lid, smoothly, at up to 120 frames per second.
Frosted glass
Depth, soft edges and fine grain. It starts only when the lid goes below the angle you choose.
Costs nothing at rest
When the lid is open and still, Tilter costs nothing. It lives in the menu bar and can start at login.

Check before you buy
You never pay for something that cannot work
Folding with the lid needs a MacBook with a built-in lid-angle sensor. Not every MacBook has one. Tilter checks your Mac the moment it opens, for free. If the sensor is missing, Tilter says so and does not offer the purchase.

Private by design
Tilter needs Screen Recording permission to draw your screen onto the glass. The picture exists only in memory while the lid is moving and is never saved, recorded or sent anywhere. Tilter has no account, no analytics and no network features.

Does my Mac work?
Folding with the lid needs a MacBook with a built-in lid-angle sensor. Open Tilter: it checks your Mac for free and tells you straight away. On other Macs you can still watch the effect with “Play the Fold”.
The glass is not showing.
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, turn on Tilter, then quit and reopen it.
I bought it on another Mac.
Open Settings → General → Restore.
